Popular kenyan televangelist who rose to fame for his panda mbegu theatrics has now turned to tap tap screeen on tiktok as a way of making money.
The tap tap screen sessions are live tiktok sessions that enables content creators to receive gifts from their fans and followers where they then convert the gifts to cash making the trend lucrative.
The controversial televangelist Victor Kanyari has now embarked on the tiktok live business joining the thousands of kenyans who are on tiktok for the business.

On Friday, Kanyari went on a live spree asking his fans to send him gifts ‘gifts’ in exchange for heavenly blessings which he claims will be available after sending gifts.
“Sio Kana kwamba niko na shida ya pesa ama niko na shida ya hizo zawadi ambazo zinapeanwa katika TikTok lakini bibilia inasema mkono utoao ndio mkono ubarikiwao.”
Kanyari, known for his persuasive language asked fans to remember his past deeds towards them through prayers, adding that, by sending him TikTok gifts, they were essentially rewarding him for his years of Church ministry.
“Nimeshinda nikiombea hawa watu, nikiambia Mungu, yoyote alituma zawadi yake nikiwa LIVE abarikiwe sana. Chukua kile ambacho uko nacho, ile gift uko nayo, itume saa hizi na mimi nitapiga makofi yangu niseme ubarikiwe.”
It’s not yet clear how much the controversial pastor pocketed from yesterday’s activity, but going per the activities on the live screen, it was evident that Kanyari pocketed a good sum of money.
Tiktok has created an avenue for creators with a donation system involving gifts through which users are allowed to send their favourite creators money through them.
