President William Ruto’s ally Oscar Sudi has now responded to Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua over his remarks towards President Ruto with jail threats after DCI went after his staff and allies.
Ruto’s ally and Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has now hit back at the Deputy President accusing Gachagua of hypocrisy and stirring tribal sentiments for personal gain that led to the death of young people in protests.
“Young people were killed in the streets and those jailed are a result of the money you poured to sponsor demos,” the MP directed his response to Gachagua saying that he used his MP allies to sponsor the protests.

Oscar Sudi further said that were it not for the respect that Kenya Kwanza has for the office of the DP, further actions could have been taken against Gachagua; “Save for the respect we have for your office, you belong in jail.”
This comes hours after Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua alleged that his allies were being targeted in a politically motivated harassment campaign in a plot to help in his impeachment plan.
On Thursday, the DCI named two MPs close to Gachagua, James Gakuya- Embakasi North and Benjamin Gathiru of Embakasi Central as being the forces behind sponsoring the anti-government protests.
“I am embarrassed that we are back to where we were. Harassment of my office staff and Members of Parliament perceived to be close to me has been going on for the last two months.”
