Atleast nine people have been reportedly died with several others sustaining serious injuries in the unfortunate Narok-Bomet accident.
The accident happened at Ratili area along the busy Narok-Bomet Highway after a matatu from Narok headed for Bomet direction had a tyre burst according to police report.

This made the driver lose control of the matatu which rolled off the road killing the nine on the spot. According to witnesses, the deceased included six males, two females and a juvenile. They all died on the spot.
Police further reveal that the bodies of the deceased were taken to Longisa mortuary while the injured were admitted at the same facility for specialised treatments. The car which was extensively damaged, was towed to the Mulot police station awaiting inspection.
This came after two people were also killed in thr Nairobi-Mombasa Highway on Saturday afternoon at GreenPark area. Police reported that the lorry’s driver lost control of the vehicle while attempting to navigate a sharp turn on the route,
Saturday alone witnessed three reported accidents with another one injuring 41 people who were onboard a minibus in Machakos. The self-accident happened along the Machakos – Kitui road in the Kiseveni area on the outskirts of Machakos town.
Eyewitness who talked with NewsProjector said that the driver of the minibus lost control of the vehicle before rolling several times injuring 41 people onboard. The injured were rushed to Machakos Level Five hospital.

In the past week alone, up to 20 people have died in separate accidents in the country. At least five people were Thursday, June 27 night killed in a collision on the Gilgil-Naivasha road.
