“Police in anti-riot gear has attacked peaceful Kenyans outside the National Archives as they were celebrating Raila’s Birthday. They lobbed tear-gas canisters and shot live bullets in the air. They were led by OCPD for Central.”
Its however unclear whether anyone has been injured in the whole scenario and the intentions of the officers and who gave the order.
“We can’t tell (whether anyone is injured) because they were just shooting at anyone and everyone on site. The intention was just to scuttle the whole thing.”
Kenyans have however shown their dissatisfaction on the whole thing asking why the officers were acting the way they did and who sent them to scatter the peaceful celebration.
