Fresh details about the Jacque Maribe’s murder case and his co accused Jowie have emerged after the court moved the two accused suspects’ case from March 15th to February 9th 2024.
According to reports, all the parties involved in the murder case agreed that the case should be moved to tomorrow pending the court’s verdict.
The accused, former Citizen TV news anchor Jacque Maribe and her former Boyfriend Joseph Irungu alias Jowie are awaiting the court’s verdict on their involvement in the murder of one Monica Kimani back in 2018.

The ruling was initially set to be delivered last month but was postponed after Maribe failed to appear in court, citing illness. This being the third time that it was postponed. According to Lady Justice Grace Nzioka, all parties must be present in court to give the verdict, thus postponing.
“There’s no provision for virtual and if you tell me you’re unwell, I don’t know where you are. The integrity of the court proceedings must be observed. I would rather have an open court appearance.”
“I have taken time off the course from February 8 to March 8, 2024, to write judgments. I am willing to say that all parties are to be available for March 15, 2024. I will need adequate time to deliver this judgment.”
According to the prosecution, the victim’s blood samples were found on Jowie’s clothes and Jowie’s phone call records placed him at the crime scene on the night of the murder.

However, the defense mantains that the prosecution relies on circumstantial evidence and that there is no ground for the claims. Katwa Kigen, representing Maribe said that no evidence linked the former Citizen TV news anchor to the murder.
Tomorrow at 9 AM, Lady Justice Grace Nzioka will be delivering her final verdict on the Jacque Maribe’s murder case and her co accused Jowie Irungu to bring to an end the back and forth witnessed since 2018.
