Despite United Democratic Alliance (UDA) claiming that there was no abduction of Malala’s Family members, new CCTV details have emerged about the sequence of events.
According to an exclusive CCTV footage, one of the two vehicles used by suspected security officers to allegedly abduct former UDA Secretary General Cleophas Malala’s teenage son and brother-in-law on Monday has emerged.
In the footage, a black Voxy arrived at the gate of Malala’s residence in Kitengela, Kajiado County. Inside the vehicle, a man wearing a white T-shirt is seated in the driver’s seat, with Malala’s brother-in-law, Alvin, next to him
According to Malala, armed security officers were seated in the back of the vehicle, issuing directives to his son and the brother in law at gunpoint with instructions not to raise alarm or else be shot dead.
Further, the footage shows Alvin signaling the residence’s guard to open the gate. Malala claims Alvin was instructed not to speak but to show his face, as failure to comply would result in both receiving a bullet to the head.
After a brief check by the guard, heopens the gate to allow the vehicle in and three minutes later, the Voxy exits the residence, aftet failing to locate Malala’s wife, their intended target according to the former Secretary General.
The Voxy goes to a nearby petrol station, where it joins a white Probox before both vehicles head toward Nairobi. Malala alleges his firstborn, 19-year-old Leon, was in the Probox. He says the two were forcefully taken near USIU, beaten, and dumped at Roysambu after six hours.
This comes after UDA Treasurer Japheth Nyakundi refuted claims of Malala’s family abduction, alleging that the security officers were at Malala’s residence to recover three UDA vehicles that Malala had refused to surrender to the party after his dramatic removal.
