The family of one Mercy Kwamboka, a student at the University of Nairobi’s (UoN) Chiromo Campus is crying for justice after their daughter was killed under unclear circumstances.
According to reports by the family, the 20-year-old UoN University Student disappeared from her home in Pipeline at 11pm after receiving a strange phone call before he was found killed and detectives are yet to establish the callers.
However, after she left her home, her body was discovered dumped in Mwiki severely mutilated and the hands doused in acid in what seemed like a painful experience before she was killed.

Her mother, Stella Kerubo spoke to the press expressed her sadness in losing her daughter and is calling for fast investigations into the murder and bring the perpetrators to book.
The first witness, whose identity is concealed for his safety, described how he discovered Kwamboka with preliminary reports suggesting that the killers had the intentions of killing her because they did not steal anything from her.
“Nilikuja nikapata amelala hapa, hana trouser but ako tu na nguo ya ndani, kuna simu na nyuma ya simu ilikuwa na 1,000 na blanketi na kiatu moja ya black,” the first witness explained.
Further, according to the marks around the scene, preliminary investigation reveal that the victim was brought to the scene by the vehicle whose tires are evident near the thicket.

“Unaona hapa ndio alikuwa anajaribu kuamka atembee but anashindwa, na ni kama kitu ilikuwa imefanyika before aletwe, na gari ilikuja hapa ikaenda na ikarudi tena,” added the witness.
