Mumias East MP Peter Salasya is at risk of losing his Toyota V8 machine over a Ksh. 500,000 debt that he owes businessman Robert Lutta.
According to reports, auctioneers have been dispatched to collect the V8 or any other property attached to Salasya to settle a Ksh. 565, 712 debt that he owes the businessman.
Arnold Ombonya, an auctioneer attached to Armok Auctioneers, revealed that the firm had obtained a warrant of attachment to auction Salasya’s property should he fail to settle the debt.

“We obtained a warrant of attachment. When we get the warrant, we usually send the notice (to the defaulter). In this case, we summoned the MP on February 13 which was yesterday.”
According to Ombonya. He further revealed that the warrant was obtained on February 7 and subsequently served to MP Peter Salasya on Tuesday, February 13 after which actions should be taken anytime after seven days.
This means that should Salasya fail to pay the debt within seven days, Armok Auctioneers, under instructions from Robert Lutta, may move to sell his car to recover the loan that Salasya owes the businessman.
“When the seven days lapse and if he will not have paid, we will go for what we proclaimed. Basically, we proclaimed his car.”
Salasya famously acquired his brand-new Toyota V8 in question back in November 2022, a few months after clinching the Parliamentary seat for the first time.
He noted that the vehicle would help him execute his mandate to the people of Mumias East and Kenya by extension.
“Finally, KDK037 is out and officially handed. Thank you people of Mumias East for the amazing trust and love you have in me. I will serve you tirelessly in realizing your dream, and all Kenyans through my committee of agriculture, Regional Development alongside regional integration.”
