More details have emerged on how DJ Joe Mfalme, his crew and three other police officers assaulted and killed a senior Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) officer on Saturday 16th March 2024 who later died as a result of the blows and injuries sustained from the incident.
This comes after DJ Joe Mfalme and three others, the bouncer, driver and photographer were arrested on Saturday following the death of one Felix Kelian Kitosi, a DCI officer attached to Kabete Police Station.
According to reports, three police officers from Kikuyu Police Station have also been accused alongside Joseph Mwendwa alias Joe Mfalme and his team for being directly linked to the assault of the DCI officer.

The incident happened after Dj Joe Mfalme had finished performing at Texas Berbecue club in Kikuyu, Kiambu county where an altercation occured between Dj Joe Mfalme, his team and the DCI officer.
Reports indicate that the DCI officer scratched the car belonging to DJ Joe Mfalme as he was leaving the parking lot by mistake. However, the bouncers upon realising this, they pounced on him.
The bouncers started assaulting the officer with kicks and blows after pulling him out of the vehicle. After a brief session of blows by Dj Joe Mfalme’s security, the officer was taken to Kikuyu Police Station.
In Kikuyu Police Station, the three fellow police officers who are implicated in the murder are said to have assaulted the DCI officer further while in custody in the station.

However, later, the DCI officer complained of abdominal pain as he was unable to pass urine for four hours. He was rushed to Lang’ata Hospital after his condition worsened before he was referred to Nairobi West Hospital.
Unfortunately, the DCI officer succumbed to the injuries on Thursday 21st. The suspects are held at Kabete Police station awaiting arraignment on Monday for murder charges.
