Mixed reactions have been observed on social media after reports emerged that kenyans are stuck on the airport over 6-hour flight delay.
According to reports, the local airline had booked kenyans to travel upcountry and to the coastal region, that is western, Nyanza and coast but the 8:00 AM flight did not show up.
This led to confusion at the airport with videos showing passengers stranded with luggages and others surrounding the counter to inquire the way forward with the next available flight scheduled at 3:30 PM.

Shockingly, the local airline informed stranded passengers that the 3:30 pm flight had limited slots, amounting to only 19 seats while the rest were informed that they would be booked at 7:00 pm.
Passengers took to their social media platforms to show their anger and frustration over the late communication by the airline company that led to a 6-Hour flight delay.
“As a passenger on the ground, I can confirm this. The situation is very bad as no response is yet to be given. Our kids are tired, hungry and crying. Nothing is well.”
This has caused a debate online as well as mixed reactions with most netizens claiming that every kenyan has levels to his/her problems. Others complaining of cost of living while others complaining flight delays, one netizen said.

Other users questioned why the passengers would opt for air travel during the festive season, noting that someone who travelled by road would have arrived within the same waiting time.
“Someone who uses a car would have arrived in Mombasa from Nairobi within those seven hours and some opted for the flights, especially at a time when they are fully booked during the festive season.”
However, sources indicated that the airline was booked to capacity and the postponement was some delay tactics by the airline as the next flight would be available the next day (today).
