Kenyans have shown mixed reactions over a press statement by a high court advocate, Evans Ondieki calling the Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua a village boy, a rogue state officer and a mistake that wasn’t supposed to happen.
According to advocate Evans Ondieki who was protesting against the recent utterances by the Deputy President claims that he should cease from attacking the Judiciary and the judicial officers.
“I want to condemn the primitive behaviour by the Deputy President, Mr Gachagua. Mr Gachagua has no respect for the rule of law, he has no respect for the doctrine of separation of powers and he’s abusing judicial officers by naming a person who has made a decision against him.”

This comes after Rigathi Gachagua vowed to seek for the removal of Lady Justice Esther Maina from office due to her rulling against the DP on his 200M case in 2022 as being proceeds of corruption from ghost delivery of services to the government .
According to Ondieki, the Deputy President should present any evidence if he has any to the Judicial Service Commission for action to be taken instead of insulting in public gatherings.
“It’s not just defamatory but it’s also scandalous because if he has any evidence, he should submit it to JSC. Not to abuse a Judicial officer. That’s the most hardworking Judicial Officer that we know. Her integriis beyond question.”
However, Gachagua managed to retrieve the frozen money after the swearing in to office which according to Ondieki was a manipulation of the process by swearing in new avidavits.

“Gachagua should stop this nonsense. He is behaving like a village boy and he must stop it. He must respect the judiciary. I’m saying this because the next time we are going to appeal to impeach him. He is too incompetent, he doesn’t know how the arms of government operate.”
Ondieki who was speaking on Monday claimed that the DP has no protocol, rules nor guidelines and he’s just a rogue state officer that is supposed to be impeached as soon as possible.
“I want to appeal to the Chief Justice to be very firm on these rogue state officers, particularly Mr. Gachagua because there is no place for Gachagua in Kenya. It was an accident for him to become the DP. Let us deal with these accidents that want to mess other arms of government through crude behaviour.”
