Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has come out to address a picture of him with a woman behind him who was seemingly showing her privates on a podium.
According to Sonko, the picture was taken when he was at Anzauni clan function in Kitui last weekend where he was invited as a Chief Guest. However, he has denied and said that the picture has been altered.
Through his X account, Mike Sonko said that the picture that has now gone viral was photoshopped to show the woman was exposed which she wasn’t.

“It has come to my attention that the alleged photo of a woman seated behind me exposing her rosecoco is photoshopped. The image has been edited to suggest that the woman’s rose coco was exposed, which is not the case.”
The Former Governor has condemned the action and said that it’s unacceptable for anyone to do that to the woman whom he says he doesn’t. However, Sonko said that anyone with information about the lady to reach out to him or his office.
“Even though the woman is not known to me, and not just a face in the crowd but someone’s mother, sister, daughter, or aunt, she deserves dignity and respect. Therefore, Im appealing to anyone who is in contact with her to immediately get in touch with me or bring her to my offices so that we can make arrangements to sponsor her and her family for counselling sessions.”
Sonko also warned news outlets not to zoom pictures as we are in hot season and it’s possible for one not to wear an underwear and people should cease from the same.
