Police Officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) have arrested a Migori woman in possession of Ksh. 51 Million worth of bhang packed in bags in a homestead in Migori.
According to reports, the 26 year old woman, Molinter Adhiambo Juma was arrested in a compound within Buembu village in Migori in suspicion of doing trafficking of the said drug.
The 531KG of drugs were recovered with a street estimate of Ksh. 51 Million in an operation conducted by a joint team of DCI detectives backed up by their K9 Isebania Border Post counterparts.

Acting on a tip off from the members of the public, police were able to recover nine bags of already rolled cannabis sativa and another 8 containing the unrefined drug were found at various concealed spots by the help of a sniffer dog.
However, Molinter, the Migori woman, was in a company of two other suspects who managed to flee the scene before the sleuths rounded them up leaving Molinter in the homestead leading to her arrest.
The home is said to be owned by one Osege Odhiambo, who was also not arrested at the time of operation. Reports indicate that Osege’s home has been used for puposes of concealing the drugs before they are being supplied.

However the third suspect is unknown and remains as an unidentified male. Police are still pursuing links to ensure all the culprits and their accomplices are brought to book to answer charges of drug trafficking.
This comes months after police officers raided one “Mathe Wa Ngara” where cash and bhang were also confiscated.
