Commencing at approximately 4 am on Christmas Day, the cyclist followed an outlined itinerary, culminating in his arrival in Nairobi a few minutes past midnight, having covered a staggering 310 kilometers. “I admire your discipline. Personally, I’d pause for refreshments just before leaving town, taking 30 minutes to reassess my life commitments and possibly postpone the trip,” remarked one supporter. Siro Fits cautioned fellow cyclists against attempting a similar journey without adequate support or preparation, emphasizing the substantial mental strength required for such an endeavor.
Throughout the expedition, strategic stops in Bomet, Narok, and Mai Mahiu were made to re-energize and revitalize, ensuring he maintained peak physical condition for the entirety of the journey.
Recalling the challenges faced during the journey, the cyclist highlighted navigating steep terrain, notably the route from Kericho into the Rift Valley, encompassing approximately 30 kilometers of uphill ascent.

“The 30-kilometer stretch from Narok to Ntulele was an unrelenting series of uphill battles, with headwinds continuously draining my waning energy after each climb,” he recounted. Negotiating escarpments, he adeptly trailed trucks to ensure safety and reduce resistance while ascending.
His resolute spirit in undertaking extensive cycling or walking expeditions mirrors a growing trend where individuals embrace such challenges, testing the limits of their perseverance.
