Londiani Blackspot has yet again hit the news after a 62 Seater but overturned injuring 47 passengers during the Londiani Accident
According to a statement by Red Cross, the accident happened on Friday at around 8 AM in the morning after the bus veered off the road and overturned in the process.
Forty-seven injured individuals have been swiftly taken to Fort Tenan Sub County Hospital by the County Government. Additionally, seven people escaped unharmed. The scene has been cleared by the Kenya Police.”

This comes just a week after another 62-seater bus was involved in a road accident at the same spot leading to 40 injuries.
However, seven people escaped unharmed in the Londiani accident while the injired were rushed to Fort Tenan Sub County Hospital by the County Government and EMS Kenya.
Elsewhere in Mombasa road, 10 people sustained injuries after a 33-seater minibus they were travelling in got involved in an accident along the busy Nairobi – Mombasa highway in Machakos.

Athi River South subcounty police commander Jos Mudavadi said the incident happened at Bee petrol station area in Athi River on Thursday at 8.00 pm.
The matter was reported to Athi River police station as a self-involved slight injury road accident incident on Thursday.
“It occurred on December 21, 2023, at about 8.00 pm along the Nairobi – Mombasa highway involving a motor vehicle registration number KBB 359M of Mitsubishi make belonging to SEMA Sacco. The vehicle’s driver, Kazee Muinde, lost its control after brakes failed making it veer off to the right as one faces Mombasa’s general direction.”
This adds to tens of accidents that have been recorded across the country as the Christmas holiday peaks and more people are travelling. Drivers have been urged to be vigilant in roads and take caution to avoid accidents.
