Hours after Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua blamed Noordin Haji for the Gen Z protests witnessed across the country, Public Service Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has hit back at Gachagua.
In a message on his social media platforms, Kuria called Gachagua as a dishonest man for blaming others when he is part of the impunitive suggestions in the Finance Bill 2024.

According to Kuria, Gachagua was part and parcel of the committee that endorsed the final copy of the bill that was suggested taxes on bread and milk that angered Kenyans to provoke a protest.
“The Committee meeting that endorsed the original Finance Bill which included VAT for milk and bread was chaired by the Deputy President. What a lying, dishonourable man!”
This comes hours after Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua blamed the National Intelligence Service Director General Noordin Haji for sleeping on the job and not briefing the President about dissatisfaction of kenyans.
“The National Intelligence Service slept on the job, and the problem is simple. The Director General of the National Intelligence Service, Noordin Haji.”
Gachagua proceeded to ask President Ruto to sack Haji and recall all three directors and the 13 assistant directors who were removed from service to come and help reconstruct the NIS.
“President William Ruto deserves better. He deserves a director general who knows what he is doing. He deserves a National Intelligence Service that is effective and that can analyse situations and keep him and the Government informed on what is going on.”

However, Moses Kuria has called Gachagua a dishonest man for lying to kenyans after suggesting Value Added Tax on not only bread but also milk, something that triggered kenyans to resiat the Finance Bill 2024 in totality.
