The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has opened its application portal for the first revision of applicants’ course choices.
KUCCPS directed that the portal will be open for students who were placed in universities, TVET institutions, Teacher Training Colleges (TTCs), and the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) for their first course revision.
This revision phase provides a window for applicants to adjust their tertiary institution’s course preferences and targets applicants yet to secure choices to do so before the window closes on April.

Any student who did his/her 2023 KCSE examination is advised to log in to KUCCPS and do his/her first course revision. The KUCCPS portal opened on Monday 18th March and will close on April 4th 2024.
Form four leavers who sat their examinations in a period from the year 2000 to 2023 has the opportunity to select various tertiary institution in accordance to the cut-off that was applied in his/her year of KCSE exams.
KUCCPS has further directed individuals who submitted their applications during the February/March 2024 period to confirm the status of their applications by logging into the placement board’s portal.

Students are therefore advised to use this opportunity and do their first revision of courses and ensure that their selections match their passion and career in which they want to pursue.
This comes amid challenges experienced by students during university applications back in February, with portal failing to capture their selections. However, the deadline was extended two times to ensure every student has made his/her selection.
On March 1, KUCCPS announced that the technical issues that affected the eCitizen payment method and the website issues were resolved and therefore this first revision will be smooth.
