The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has come out to explain the reason why most students can’t access the portal despite an announcement of start of University and College applications.
According to the Placement Board, the portal is experiencing high traffic hence the challenges faced by students in their applications thus the reports of the errors experienced in the portal.
However, despite the challenges, the students were encouraged to continue applying through the system until they succeed. Others advised students to do registration at night between 10 PM to 7 AM when the traffic is much lower.
“We apologise for the inconvenience. The KUCCPS portal is open for application. We are experiencing high traffic but we encourage you to continue checking.”
This comes after KUCCPS announced the commencement of applications of all 2023 KCSE students on Thursday, making applications to various levels of post-secondary institutions. However, the portal is also open to KCSE candidates who sat their exams between 2000 to 2022, which explains the high traffic witnessed.
