The Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) has announced five counties that will experience Power Blackout on Wednesday.
According to the company, the 8 hour blackout will start from approximately 9 AM to 5 PM in the evening as they work on bettering their services countrywide.
Among the counties to be partially affected include Kiambu, Machakos, Elgeyo Marakwet, Bungoma and Kwale. The areas in these counties that will be affected are listed below.
KIAMBU COUNTY:- Kwaheri Road, Runda Mhasibu Wadi Degla.
Part of Thindigua, Paradise Lost, Ronda Palms, Citam, Evergreen and adjacent customers will be affected.
Kibubuti Area
Areas around Kibubuti in Raini, Boma Road and adjacent customers.
MACHAKOS COUNTY.
Areas that will be affected include the Industrial Area, Muthini Estate, Civil Servant’s Estate, Romani and adjacent customers.
ELGEYO MARAKWET COUNTY.
In Elgoyo Marakwet, Kiptabus and Chesitek areas will be affected, touching Kiptabos Poad, Chesitek, Kibargoyet Primary School, Kiptabos Catholic and adjacent customers.
BUNGOMA COUNTY
KPLC will see the following areas affected by Wednesday Blackout in Bungoma: Hongera Millers, Pan Africa Chemicals and Butali Sugar will be affected. Other parts include Kenol Kobil, Power Gas, Chebwai Adventist, Matete Market, Chimoi Market, Lwandeti and adjacent customers.

KWALE COUNTY.
In Kwale, areas to be affected by Wednesday Blackout include Carrefour, Swahili Beach, Kaskazi, Bazaar, Diani Shopping Center, Watatu Watano, Chandarana, Kivulini, Ocean Beach Resort, Diani Marines, Forty Thieves, Tandoori, Manyatta, Msitu Kwetu, Pavillion, Ocean Beach Safaris, Baobab, Nomad and adjacent customers.
The utility firm advised customers in the aforementioned counties and areas to seek alternatives as power will only be restored in the evening after the repairs are done.
