The Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) is keen not to repeat the mistakes that were witnessed in the KCPE 2023 results release that was hit by discrepancies in the forthcoming 2023 KCSE Results
The examination council has dismissed a publication that claimed the KCSE results will be released before Christmas. The publication said that the examination council was set to release the KCSE results on dates between December 16th and December 22nd.
Dismissing these reports, KNEC said that examination marking process was still going on and the results will be released after the marking process and compilation is done.
“KNEC has made no such statement. Marking of KCSE is ongoing and the results will be released when they are ready”
This clarifications are a clear indication that the Ministry of Education and KNEC are keen not to repeat the mistakes that happened with the KCPE examination results.
KNEC has been on the spotlight for the discrepancies with schools and parents raising concerns about mistakes with the results.

This has forced Senate to summon the leaders to explain these issues that have raised concerns over the credibility of the council

However, Education CS Machogu has mantained that there was no errors in KCPE 2023 Examination and the errors witnessed were caused by transmission of the results. Something he has said will not be witnessed in the 2023 KCSE results.
Machogu said that the 2023 KCSE resulst might be transmitted through a website unline previously that parents used SMS to get the results.
