The Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) has announced KMTC nursing scholarship opportunities for students who are willing to pursue a certificate course in Community Health Nursing but are unable to raise fees.
According to the Training College, the KMTC Nursing scholarship is being offered by the Kenya Medical Training College in collaboration with Beyond Zero.
However, the scholarship opportunities will commence in March 2024 in the 2023 – 2024 academic year and will cover the academic expenses of the successful applicants.

According to KMTC CEO Kelly Oluoch the board will consider and give top priorities to the following groups; qualified candidates from selected Arid and Semi-Arid counties, underserved minorities and other vulnerable and marginalized groups will be given top priority.
The scholarships will be offered under a two year course that will run from March 2024. However, the college listed colleges that will offer this course. They include; KMTC Kapenguria, Kabarnet, Bomet, Loitoktok, Garissa, Kilifi, Kitui and Msambweni campuses.
Candidates willing to apply have been told that they should be willing to to serve in their communities upon graduation and put their knowledge into work.
HOW TO APPLY FOR KMTC NURSING SCHOLARSHIPS
Applicants are expected to attach a handwritten essay of not more than 200 words explaining why they feel they deserve the scholarships and the contributions they will make to the community upon graduation.
Interested applicants should submit their applications before or on February 26th 2024 at KMTC college campuses across the country.

Requirements For The KMTC Nursing Scholarship
Interested candidates should possess a KCSE Mean Grade of C- or equivalent qualifications, a C- in English or Kiswahili, a C- in Biology and a D+ in either Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry.
Female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
