Four police officers attached to Kasagam Police Station in Kisumu County were on Friday chased away by an angry mob after they raided a home in Kisumu. The police chase in kisumu happened on Friday.
The officers raided the home to arrest people who were selling illicit brew. This triggered the locals who took matters into their own hands and subjected the officers to a mob justice.
After the officers entered the home alleged to be selling illicit brew, residents raised alarm. They then surrounded the officers who were outnumbered. However, three officers managed to escape while one sustaining injuries.

According to the police report, the officer who sustained injuries had two deep cuts on his head. This includes othe rparts of the head.
“One of the officers sustained two deep cuts on the head, two cuts on the left cheek below his eyes and swollen right cheek injuries.”
Police officers called for back up and arrived on the scene saving the cornered cop and rushed him to the Blizz Medicare at Mega City for medical treatment.
However, no suspect has been arrested during the police chase in Kisumu incident. The police have therefore launched a manhunt for the key suspects that were involved in the scuffle.
Police are still investigating as to what caused the trigger that led to locals attacking the officers. Meanwhile, they are still looking for the key suspects sto ensure that they face the law.
This comes after the government embarked on the fight against illicit brew across the country. The brew that has caused a lot of youths to sink into alcoholism has also caused a lot of homes to break due to disorderly.
