The kenyan government will form the Prayer Strategy Team that will be responsible to pray for the 1000 kenyan police officers that will be deployed to Haiti.
Revealing the idea, First Lady Rachel Ruto said that the Prayer Strategy Team will form pastors from Kenya, Haiti and the United States of America that will pray for the officers.
“We have been hold up for a meeting for two days discussing the issues of Haiti because we felt as a national alter, we cannot allow our police officers to go to Haiti without prayer.”

Speaking at Weston Hotel, the first lady dsaid that the officers will not be allowed to leave to Haiti without a prayer because with prayer, everything is possible before God.
“So they have been strategising on a spiritual solution and prayer for our police as they prepare to go to Haiti and pray for the people of Haiti. We have met with pastors from Haiti, America and we want to see how the three countries will come together to pray because with prayer, everything is possible.”
This comes days after the Former US Envoy Dan Foote described Haiti as a death trap for 1000 kenyan police officers, claiming that the Kenyan government was doing it for money without knowing the real situation in Haiti.
“You see the reticence on the part of the Kenyan public to send these guys and that makes me nervous. I believe that this is more of a cash grab by President Ruto whose country will receive a lot of money for doing this.”

However, President Ruto has assured of his commitment in ensuring that the 1000 kenyan police officers are available for deployment once the Haiti transition government is in place to act as an anchor for the mission.
