The Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) has listed seven counties to experience Tuesday power blackout across the country.
According to the power company, the Tuesday Power Blackout will be interrupted from approximately 9 AM to 5 PM in the evening of Tuesday 5th March 2024.
The counties affected include Nairobi, Kiambu, Makueni, Kirinyaga and Nyeri Counties. The power provider proceeded to list areas to be affected in the aforementioned counties.

NAIROBI COUNTY.
Areas to be affected in Nairobi include Ruaka Groove, Runda Groove, parts of Northern Bypass, Runda Water, Two Rivers, Mimosa Road and adjacent customers.
KIAMBU COUNTY
in Kiambu, Muthaiga, Limuru Girls, Karirana Tea, Muna High School, Kwa Kariuki, Limco Shoe factory and Kwa Nyakaro and adjacent customers will be affected.
In Ichaweri, areas to be affected include Githuya village, Gatundu town, Gatundu Hospital, Ituru and Muthurumbi high schools, Wamwangi, Kamunyu and the neighbouring clients.
MAKUENI COUNTY
Areas to be affected in Makueni include Kilala, Ukia, Mukuyuni, Kyambalasi, Kivani, Kilyungi, Kitundu, Sarova, Kiatine and Kali markets.
BUNGOMA COUNTY
Khalumili, Ngwelo, Kuuywa, Kwa Dinah, Molo, Lovington Estate, St Teresa, Wananchi, St Mary’s, St Angela, Matisi Water Plant and the adjacent customers will be affected by Tuesday Blackout.

NYERI COUNTY
In Nyeri, Karandi, Sagana village, Chieni, Maganjo, Rititi, Kiangima, Sagana fisheries, Kiamariga, Kianjau, Kanyama, Kaiyaba and the adjacent customers will be affected.
KIRINYAGA COUNTY.
In Kirinyaga, areas to be affected include Mwea Mosque, Mwea Boys High School, Karira Hospital, Kasarani Gakungu, Ndorome, Nguka, Nyaikungu, Mianya A and B, Kangichiri and adjacent customers.
According to kenya power, the aforementioned areas will experience power blackout as it continues it’s nationwide power grid maintenance to ensure better services and avoid power Interruptions in future.
