Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza has broken silence after the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) settles on her brother and one other suspect as prime suspects in Sniper’s Murder.
Speaking during a press conference convened by Mwangaza and her husband, the two aired their frustrations over the claims and distanced themselves from Sniper’s Murder.
According to Kawira Mwangaza, if she was the killer, she couldn’t have possibly called Sniper to her home before committing the crime.

“Which governor is so stupid that they can ask for a person to be called to their official residence so that the person can be killed?” She posed.
Mwangaza also accused the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) of taking her family’s gadgets and she is calling for DCI to make public their discoveries from the devices they collected from them.
“DCI took my phone, my cook’s phone and my sweeper’s phone. I need them to reveal to the public and the media what they found.”
Backing his wife, Kawira Mwangaza’s husband, Murega Baich said that he has searched for a video of Sniper criticising Kawira Mwangaza and he can’t find any, insisting that his family is innocent of Sniper’s Murder.

“We have never thought of harming someone who insults us. There are many videos in the public domain of people saying very bad things about us. Why have we ever thought of harming any of them? I’ve looked for a video of Sniper criticising Kawira but I haven’t seen one.”
This comes after the DCI arrested six suspects early January including Kawira Mwangaza’s brother in connection with the murder of Meru Blogger Daniel Muthiani alias Sniper.
On Thursday, the Director of Public Prosecution confirmed that they have enough evidence to charge Kawira Mwangaza’s brother and Supuu O Mioro as prime suspect in Sniper’s Murder among the six that they arrested.
