Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza has broken her silence and addressed her family’s alleged involvement in the Sniper’s Murder case that has of late put his family under public scrutiny.
Speaking in a church service in Meru, the governor defended herself against allegations of involvement in the death of Sniper and claimed that her tribulations have been instigated by her political opponents.
The governor stated that her opponents have tried everything to bring her down but she will sail through as she has done in the past. She went ahead and denied reports of her son being among the suspects arrested.

“They have tried impeachment, destroying our reputation, court cases, attempts on our lives and failed, now they have come up with this. Those reporting on things they don’t know, some have said my son was arrested. All my children are in church today.”
This comes after the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) detectives raided the governor’s residence in Meru on Saturday to try to connect the dots and evidence on the Sniper’s Murder case.
She has however calked upon detectives not to be used as a political tool in Meru to settle scores and avoid being drawn to the Meru politics.

“Do not be biased, don’t be used politically by those whom we defeated in the election whom we know and shall mention. If you were defeated in the election, take a rest. If you want to be governor, let us meet in 2027.”
However, the first time Governor vowed to cooperate with authorities to uncover the death of Sniper and bring perpetrators to book, insisting that she is innocent in regard to Sniper’s Murder case.
“We want the investigations to be open. We don’t live in a banana country, we live in a country governed by laws”
