Jowie Irungu’s mother has finally broken silence after Justice Grace Nzioka handed her son a death sentence in todays rulling against Monica Kimani’s Murder.
Speaking to the media outside the courtroom, Irungu’s mother faulted the ruling, insisting that her son was innocent and was erroneously sentenced to life by Justice Grace Nzioka.
However, the Jowie Irungu’s mother expressed her confidence that justice would eventually be served and her son would be released at an appropriate time when the truth comes out.

“I believe my son is innocent, he has not done any wrong and has not killed anyone. I believe there is a God of a second chance.”
Quoting the bible, Irungu’s mother said that she believs that the biblical God, whom she serves would help get out her son of prison.
“My son is like Joseph in the bible who suffered but God helped him. He will be released, that is why I still have the strength that my son will be released when the right time comes.”
This comes after the court sentenced Joseph Irungu alias Jowie to a death sentence after he was found guilty of killing Monica Kimani in 2018.
“I have ordered that the first accused person before this court, Joseph Kuria Irungu alias Jowie shall suffer death as provided for the offence of murder under section 204 of the penal code of Kenya.”

The judge also said that Jowie was a threat and a thrill seeker, impulsive and manifesting anti-social behaviours manifested by living on the edge of life.
“Jowie lacks stable partner relationships. He has anti-social personality patterns manifested by living on the edge. He is impulsive and a thrill seeker. He used anger or aggression to control others.”
