Former Citizen TV news anchor Jacque Maribe has broken her silence after landing a top gov’t job in the Ministry of Public Service Performance and Delivery Management.
Speaking to one of the local news outlets, Jacque Maribe thanked God for the new opportunity and attributed her success to the favor of God.
“The truth, which always sets us all free, has worked and I thank God for everything. Let us wait and see if the hand of God is revealing itself in my new appointment.”

According to Maribe, the truth is the one that set her free and she’s now working to cover the time lost and ensure she comes back to her feet after years of back to back cases since 2018.
This comes after Maribe and her co accused former boyfriend Jowie Irungu were accused of plotting together in the murder of Monica Kimani. However, the court found Jacque Maribe not guilty as it prepares to sentence Jowie this week.
Maribe was acquitted in the Monica Kimani murder case on February 9, by Justice Grace Nzioka of the Milimani Law Courts, over lack of evidence.
Maribe defended herself saying she was with former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko on that fateful day. In addition, she said she never knew her and she had no motive to kill the Nairobi businesswoman.
Digital Strategist Dennis Itumbi who stood with Maribe while embroiled in the case, congratulated her on the new role.
