Kapsabet MP Oscar Sudi has come out to express his thoughts around recent happenings and his plan on quitting politics and the way forward after several allegations towards him.
Speaking through a late night video shared through his social media platforms, Oscar Sudi said that quitting politics would be beneficial to him since he spent more in politics than he did on his personal life.
While addressing concerns of donating up to Ksh 20 Million in cash to chruches and Harambees, the outspoken lawmaker said that he is taking a break from fundraisers for two years.
“I am taking the leave because of noises and jealous people. I am one of the believers that we should ban these harambees because many people do not know how we look for Harambee money.”
Sudi was responding to concerns raised by Kenyans and specifically, Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale, who questioned his source of wealth and even the lavish lifestyle that he lives.
“I am even thinking about quitting politics because I am doing much more in politics than what I am doing for myself. I am going on leave for about 1 year or two years.”
This comes after the lawmaker also lost millions of shillings after his Eldoret club was vandalised and broken into by kenyans who were enraged after his vote for the controversial Finance Bill 2024.
The Kapseret MP has however bowed to pressure and closed down the business and insisted that he will take a break from politics and traversing the country until the political temperatures are favourable
