The Hungary government has announced 200 scholarship openings for Kenyan students in the year 2024/25. The Hungary Government Scholarships 2024/2025 is now open.
The notice dated November 14th indicated that all students who are eligible from certificate level to PhD should take this opportunity and apply. The opportunities are covering almost all fields of study.
The notice therefore stated that the successful applicants will have their tuition fees, Monthly stipends and medical insurance will be covered by the scholarship.
However, the notice directed that students will have to get extra funds on their own to cover all extra expenses.
“Please note that these provisions do not fully cover all the costs of living in Hungary but are only a contribution to the living expenses and the students need to add their own financial resources in order to cover all living expenses in Hungary.”

Candidates must submit a fully-filled online application form and a copy of the application form sent to the Tempus Public Foundation should also be forwarded to:
Director, Higher Education Ministry of Education, P. O. Box 9583 – 00200 NAIROBI
You can also deliver your application physically at the Teleposta Towers, 27th floor, Room 2701, by 5:00 pm on or before January 17, 2024.

Qualifications for the Undergraduate Applicants:
- Age should be under 25 years
- KCSE minimum mean grade of B plain
- Grade B plain in core subjects within the field of study
- Completion of Secondary education within the last three years
- Possession of original KCSE certificate
Qualifications for the Post-Graduate Applicants:
- Applicants should have graduated with a second class upper for the Masters students and second class honours for the PhD students.
- PhD applicants should and must hold a relevant masters degree of the program of choice.
- Applicants for master’s programs should not exceed 38 years, while those for PhD programs should not exceed 45 years.
