According to reports, there is a growing security threat in Kenya as more countries release their travel advisory to their citizens in the country.
Barely a week after the United Kingdom (UK) released a travel advisory against Kenya, Canada is the latest foreign country that has warned her citizens of the growing threat.
As seen by NewsProjector, the notices are commonly referring to an increase in number of terror attacks especially in Northern Kenya and most countries have advised their citizens on what to do.
The UK called their citizens to be alert while in the country and take responsibility for their safety.

For instance the UK listed six regions that are a main target of terror groups and advised their citizens from frequenting those areas due to security concerns. They also warned against going to crowded places like supermarkets and malls which can be a target by terrorists.
Among the areas highlighted by the UK government include; Kenya-Somali border, Eastern Garissa, Mandera, Tana River County and Lamu counties, and the coast between Tana River and Galana River.
Canada being the latest foreign country to give an advisory, they warned against events, Public celebrations and other group meetings that can be a terrorist target.
The canadian advisory becomes the third security alert issued on Kenya within two weeks making the security threat in Kenya a serious concern
Among the things that canadians in Kenya were warned about include: potential carjacking, robberies, and kidnappings, especially in major cities like Nairobi and Mombasa. In addition, fraud, road accidents, piracy, and spiked food and drinks were also areas of concern.
Kenyans have however been advised to be careful during this holiday season and report any suspicious activities to the authorities on first notice.
