The Kenya Revenue Authority seeks to recruit young Kenyan graduates into the Graduate Trainees program, better known as GT. The programme is designed to develop future Tax Administration Experts and their target is to source from graduates of recognised universities in Kenya
These Graduate Trainees gain experience from the on-the-job learning, mentorship, volunteering with job exposure through rotation and training. More than 1800 young grafuates have made it through this programme and the 2023 intake is here with us.
Responsibilities
- Administration and/or support of relevant Tax and Customs Laws
- Enforcing compliance in tax with relevant Laws.
Requirements include:
- Must be kenyan citizen aged 28 and below
- Must have a mean grade of C+ in KCSE or its equivalent and have a minimum mean grade of C+ in both English and Mathematics
- Must possess an undergraduate Degree from a recognized University. Holders of the following degree courses are also encouraged to apply: Petroleum/Chemical/Marine engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Cyber security, Geospatial, Medicine, Radiography, Pharmacy, Animal health, Veterinary medicine and Food technology.
Applicants must have Strong communication and interpersonal skills with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications. In addition to that, have result Oriented and Customer Focused individual. Adaptability, inventiveness is also important

Go to https://erecruitment.kra.go.ke/login and then click on the ‘Register’ button to start the application process.
After registration, you will receive an email enabling you to confirm your email address and complete your registration.
Log on:
After registration go to https://erecruitment.kra.go.ke/login
Key in your username and password then click on ‘Log in’ to access your account.
After successful log in, the system will open the ‘Applicant Cockpit’.
Candidate Profile (To create or update applicant detail):
On the ‘Applicant Cockpit’ page, go to the tab ‘Candidate Profile’.
Click on ‘My Profile’ to create and update your profile.
Follow the instructions to complete your profile.
The process will end by clicking the tab “Overview and Release”.
Ensure you click the check box on the page to complete the profile.
Application process:
To view the open job postings, click on the tab ‘Employment Opportunities’ on the ‘Applicant Cockpit’ page.
Under the heading ‘Job Search’ click the ‘Start’ button to view all available vacancies.
Click on the Job posting to display the details of the position.
To apply for the position, click ‘Apply’ button at the top of the page.
