This comes after kenyans who were displeased by some of the leaders heckled them during President Ruto’s presence making two incidents during the weekend in President Ruto’s backyard in Bomet and Kericho counties.
According to reports, the hecklers were hired by opposing camps within the same party and instructed to express their dissatisfaction with their local leaders in a fist fight among them.
Therefore, Kindiki directed Kericho County Commissioner Gabriel Kitiyo and his team to clamp down on the individuals behind the incidents.
“The security team is tasked to reign in on incidents of disorderly conduct in political meetings, conclude investigations and apprehend the organisers, financiers and perpetrators of hooliganism in the County, regardless of their political or social standing.”

This also comes after Deputy Rigathi Gachagua on Saturday expressed regret that Rift Valley residents had embarrassed President Ruto through heckling.
“What we saw in Kericho and Bomet during a presidential working tour is disheartening and must stop since all the positive things from the tour were overshadowed by the negatives.”
President William Ruto also warned that heckling during his meetings will not be allowed and tolerated. He told residents who are displeased with their current leaders to wait for the next electioneering period (2027) to vote them out.
