A popular United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Governor has finally broken his silence after allegations went viral on social media that he has his close family members on County Payroll.
According to reports that went viral, Nandi Governor Stephen Sang has allegedly enrolled his close relatives and family members, specifically his mother, sister and even his mother in law to the county payroll despite having no duties to perform at the county.
In allegations made by popular social media figure Propesa TV, he alleged that Governor Sang pays his mother in law a total of 87,000, his sister on the other hand has been earning Ksh 157,000 and she’s currently living abroad in Ireland while his mother earns Ksh 145,000 per month as ghost workers.

However, a day after these revelations went public, Nandi Governor Stephen Sang has come out to address the ghost workers menace in Nandi County Payroll scam involving his own relatives and friends.
According to Sang, approximately 1,800 individuals have already been kicked out of the payroll due to the saga after a human resource audit report uncovered serious discrepancies in the county payroll, which had ballooned to over 5,000 ghost workers.
“I will not cherry-pick which part of the report to implement. We will implement the HR report 100 percent and I am not going back on this so that we clean up this mess once and for all.”
