The kenyan government through the Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) has gone after controversial musician, Embarambamba in the latest move.
According to reports, KFCB has ordered all content done by Chris Embarambamba to be pulled down from all streaming platforms effective immediately.
KFCB noted that the type of music done by the musician is inappropriate. This comes after the musician did his latest music that has been doing rounds online.

In the same breath, other content creators that were directed to be pulled doen include gospel artist William Getumbe whom was also found to be inappropriate.
“A demand letter has been issued to Embrambamba and Getumbe to remove any inappropriate content from their various platforms. Failure to comply will result in legal action in accordance with the Films and Stage Plays Act Cap 222 of the Laws of Kenya.”
Reports indicate that letters were also issued to different social media platforms to pull down the two controversial songs that have been the talk of socials lately.
KFCB noted that one Bishop Johanna was using his religious influence to mislead the public through indecent exposure performances.
The government warned the content creators that while the constitution offered freedom of creativity and expression, it should not be misconstrued as absolute

“In cases where children have access to the internet and smart devices, parents/guardians must exercise responsibility to ensure that minors do not access inappropriate content.”
Parents were also urged to ensure that their children did not have access to such obscene content now that they are breaking for half term breaks.
KFCB has also encouraged young content creators to create content that upholds our culture, moral values, and national aspirations, while also ensuring that they do not expose minors to harmful material.
