Google has released its 2023 most searched Kenyans report. The Google report dubbed Year In Search 2023 has familiar faces most of whom have been faced by controversy this year
Millicent Omanga tops as the Most Searched Person in Kenya according to Google Report. The former nominated senator became a top trend after a video, allegedly featuring the politician was shared online. However, it was flagged as fake and was used to destroy her image.
Coming in second is Pastor Ezekiel Odero. The pastor has been at the center of controversy after his church was linked to Paul Mackenzie who was then linked to the Shakahola Massacre. The massacre claimed a total of 429 people.

Dj Fatxo comes in third following investigations over possible involvement in the death of one of his friends who fell from his apartment to his death. However, the musician was later acquitted of the charges levelled against him.
YouTuber and influencer Georgina Njenga was the fourth most searched Kenyan following the leaking of her intimate videos and her involvement with Bahati and the scandals around them.
Adding to the list is Pastor Paul Mackenzie who comes fifth after he was directly linked to the Shakahola Massacre that claimed 429 lives.
The only sportsperson to appear in the top ten most searched kenyans came in 6th. Faith Kipyegon, the three-time world record holder in middle-distance runnings, won the World Athletics Championships 1500m and 5000m titles. She became the first woman ever to complete a 1,500-5,000 meters double at the World Championships.
The seventh most searched kenyan was former Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang’i. This came after reports that he was going to be arrested by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and that officers were surrounding his house. However, he presented himself to the DCI.
Wafula Chebukati, the former Independent and Electoral Boundaries Commission(IEBC) Chairperson comes in at 8th position following the 2022 General Elections and his Presidential announcement.
On the same breath comes the 9th most searched Kenyan being Chief Justice Marthe Koome after the court rulling on the disputed 2022 General elections.
The tenth most searched kenyan is Mathe Wa Ngara who was arrested by the DCI following her involvement with the Bhang trade.
