Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua was in Kapsabet Boys on sunday after a fatal accident that happened to students as they were on a school trip on Saturday.
Gachagua who claims was sent by President William Ruto to condole with Kapsabet Boys family who lost their loved ones, priomised the school fraternity a new bus courtesy of the President.
“I will talk to him (Ruto) later in the day and I am sure that the President will give you another bus to replace that one so that you are able to continue with your tours.”

Kapsabet Boys High School, which is where President William Ruto schooled was taking the students on a school trip before they were involved in an accident that claimed the blives of a teacger and and a student.
“I have been told about the bus that has been written off, and I want to give a commitment on behalf of President William Ruto, I will talk to him later in the day and I’m sure, there’s no doubt that the President will give you another bus.”
According to police reports, the bus was involved in the accident when the bus driver lost control while negotiating a sharp corner and landed at the bottom of a steep slope.
Confirming the accident, Area Police Commissioner Stephen Kutwa said that at the time of the accident, there were 63 people on board; 61 students, one teacher, and a driver on board at the time of the accident.

“One teacher and one student were fatally injured, five students were seriously injured while 19 others were slightly injured.”
The injured students were rushed to Kabarnet and Marigat Mission hospitals, and Baringo County Referral Hospital, while the bodies of the deceased have been moved to Kabarnet level 4 hospital mortuary.
