Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has finally broken his silence over the Impeachment plans that have been making rounds in the political circles for sometime now.
While addressing Nairobians at Marikiti Market, the Deputy President said that he was aware of the Impeachment plans set by UDA MPs to replace him with their puppets.
However, Gachagua said that he cannot be threatened with the Impeachment plans and that it was impossible to dismiss him since it was the Kenyan people who elected him to the position.

“They’re threatening me that they will mobilize MPs to kick me out and install their puppet. They have given these MPs money to sell me fear. I was elected by Kenyans and they are the ones to remove me from my seat when the time comes.”
The outburst by the Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua comes after several reports emerged that there is tension and a possible fallout between him and President Ruto that led to his unavailability in Ruto’s Nyeri meeting.
While explaining the reasons for skipping the Nyeri meeting, Gachagua’s close ally and Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga said that Ruto was the reason why Gachagua missed Nyeri meeting by locking Gachagua out of his plans.
“Gachagua had already gone to Kirinyaga, to wait for the President and he was there waiting for the President. But Ruto did not go to Kirinyaga as they had planned but went directly to Nyeri without informing Gachagua.”
