Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is a man on troubled waters including arrest and Impeachment after leaders seem to gang against him in recent political turmoil in the country.
According to reports, Acting UDA Secretary General Hassan Omar has announced plans to expel the Deputy President from the party immediately the Impeachment Motion is passed in parliament.
“In fact, if that motion of impeachment sails through, our immediate concern then will be to eject him also as a member of the party. You cannot be found to be incompetent, grossly undermining the Constitution and national unity and continue to be a ranking member of the party.”

This came after leaders led by Cotu Secretary General Francis Atwoli announced that proposals are underway to arrest and prosecute the Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua after the Impeachment Motion sails through in parliament.
“As a leader, you took the oath and even asked God to help you as you run the government. How do you start contradicting the government yet you sit in the cabinet and the security council and there is the oath of secrecy that you took. You should be arrested.”
This comes after over 300 MPs Signed Impeachment Motion and is said to be planned for tabling on Tuesday. Among charges lined up against Gachagua include threatening President Ruto and banging the table on the Head of State.
In a 40-Page Impeachment Motion, Gachagua is also accused of Corruption, Leaking state secrets against the oath of secrecy, promoting Tribalism through hid one man one vote campaign and even threatening state officials case on point being NIS Director Noordin Haji.
