Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has seemed to change his tune against President Ruto after he warned his top ally against fiercely attacking the President.
While speaking in a viral video, Deputy President confirmed the visit by Former Laikipia East Woman Representative Cate Waruguru in his residence to “check up on him” amid impeachment reports.
However, it’s during the visit by Cate Waruguru that the Deputy President told her to tone down on her attacks against President Ruto that she made in a recent outburst in a bid to cool down Political temperatures.

“I need you to tone down because what you said the other day was quite explosive. We don’t have a problem with anyone. Let’s sit back and work for Kenya,” the DP warned in what seemed like a change of plan after explosive interview days ago.
This comes after Cate Waruguru went directly at the President with her remarks, accusing President Ruto of conning Gachagua, leading Githurai residents chanting the infamous “Ruto must go” in the meeting in the presence of Gachagua.
“Rigathi Gachagua is a truthful man but they don’t want to know the truth. I want to say here today that William Ruto will be a one-term president,” the vocal Gachagua ally remarked.
The warning by Gachagua to his allies come just a day after a censure motion was filed in the Senate against him by Tana River Senator Danson Mungatana who demands that Gachagua’s utterances be restricted due to their effects to National Unity.

Gachagua’s latest move has raised eyebrows as to what triggered the change of tune after a series of attacks to the President alleging that the Head of State has failed in his promise to protect his Deputy from his allies.
