Maribe and Jowie Irungu Murder Case Postponed :The High Court has once again postponed delivery of judgment in the case where Joseph Irungu alias Jowie and former TV news anchor Jacque Maribe are charged with the murder of businesswoman Monica Kimani
Justice Grace Nzioka said on Friday that she will deliver the verdict by March 15, 2023 after the defense lawyers reported that Jacque Maribe has been reported sick and couldn’t make it to the court.
However, the judge said that the court will be busy with other cases in the remaining time of January and the whole of February and therefore, the verdict will be delivered on March 15th.

“I have looked at my diary and the court is not available in the whole month of January and February. Other than this matter I have a few other serious matters that I am dealing with. I will not be available from the 8th of February to 8th of March. My earliest judgement would be 15th of March.”
This becomes the fourth time that the case is being postponed after Lady Justice Grace Nzioka was reported to be ill on October 6th 2023 before being postponed to December 15th.
However, the delivery of the verdict was put off to January 26th and on today’s date, the second accused persons reported ill and therefore forced the judge to postpone the case to March.
Reports stated that Maribe claimed to be on her way to the hospital after allegedly falling ill. However, the judge did not buy her claims, in what was perceived as a decoy and delay tactic by her defence lawyers.
