Fresh details have forced the Torrington Police Department in Wyoming to re-open a case against boyfriend of a kenyan nurse who went missing two years ago in the United States.
According to reports, the Torrington Police Department has revived the case which began when the suspect was incarcerated at Wyoming Medium Correctional.
This comes after the suspect admitted to three charges; including draining Irene’s accounts, maxing out her credit card with more than 80 purchases totalling nearly Ksh990,554 ( $7,000).

As revealed through court proceedings, the 80 purchases included; a shovel, a pair of boots and pants, with the felonies earning him a jail term of three to six years.
However, the suspect denied charges related to Irene’s disappearance. The suspect insisted that she instead boarded a dark-car carrying her belongings in two trash bags and never returned
Despite these revelations, the police have termed the suspect uncooperative in the disappearance charges and have launched fresh investigations into the case.
Additionally, the suspect filed an application for an appeal after the verdict in his case was issued, an application he later withdrew over unknown reasons.
A twist in the case reveals that the suspect was transferred from the Campbell County Detention Center in June 2023 to the Wyoming State Penitentiary in Rawlins.
The circumstances under his transfer are unclear with the State failing to reveal the details as bound by US law
Stephanie Kiger, the Communications Lead for WDOC stated that Movement of inmates and the specific reasons (beyond intake) are not releasable due to safety and security reasons.
However, several reports indicate that the suspect may have been a marked man in prison by his fellow inmates forcing him to be kept in isolation.
