Impeached Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has finally broken his silence moments after Kithure Kindiki’s Swearing In at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre, Nairobi.
The Former Deputy President spoke through his social media platforms after sharing pictures in his native home in Mathira, Nyeri County alongside his family, including his wife, Pastor Dorcas Rigathi.
Along the pictures he shared, the Former Deputy President commended his family for their motivation and moral support following the political turmoil that saw him get impeached by the Senate in the critic social media post.

“The smell of the fresh grass and the sounds of the chirping birds are what a family needs in such moments. Thanking God for the gift of my family. The smell of fresh grass and the sounds of chirping birds is what a happy family needs.”
Gachagua thanked God for the gift of family and promised to embark on his morning walks in Hombe Forest which is located in Nyeri County, walks that happened even during his time as the Deputy President.
“I will remain forever grateful to God, for giving me a loving and supportive family. We are happy to be home, where I was born and brought up. I can’t wait for the morning to take my walk in Hombe Forest and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Mt Kenya as I thank God for His kindness.”
His sentiments come moments after completion of Kithure Kindiki’s Swearing In Ceremony that was presided over by President William Ruto who also took a swipe at his former Deputy President over what he termed as “missed two years” in his government.
