The Ministry of Education through the Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu released the 2024 Form One Placement Results on Monday 18th December and explained how to download form one admission letters.
The CS said announced that the reporting date for all 2024 Form One learners will be on January 15 2024. This will be in accordance with the Placement exercise that was done by the Ministry.
All students are encouraged to report to the schools they have been placed. The ministry also discouraged parents from middle men who will promise better schools and warning schools from hiking fees.

How To Download Form One Admission Letters.
- Visit the Official Placement Website
- Enter your Index Number and Name
- Check the School Placed by the Ministry.
- Click on the school
- Download the Joining Instructions
However, after downloading the Form One Admission Letters and joining instructions letter, CS Machogu ordered parents and the candidate to visit their primary schools for verification of the letter.
“The candidate must present the letter to the headteacher of the primary school where they sat their KCPE Examination for authentication. The letter will further be verified by the principal of the admitting school. Principals are advised to confirm that letters presented to them belong to learners who will strictly be on their selection list.”

The verified admission letters will be presented to the respective placed schools by the Ministry for verification by the principals.
According to Machogu, the government is keen to ensure 100% transition to secondary schools and therefore every student who sat for KCPE 2023 has been placed in a secondary school.
28,052 Candidates did not choose Secondary schools to be placed. However, the Ministry placed them under the public sub-county secondary schools near their former primary schools.
