The director of amazement park in Uasin Gishu county where 5 pupils drowned has finally broke silence. Beatrice Chepchirchir said that the school brought the pupils to boost their morale ahead of the KCPE exams. The park normally attracts pupils and students from various schools for motivational meetings. Stating that it’s not strange to have students and pupils in the area.

However, the director has revealed that the Five Pupils Drown Ahead Of KCPE Exams must have sneaked from the rest of the team and headed to the prohibited area alone.
“I can only say that they sneaked into a prohibited area. The headteacher is also not okay and we are really sorry. It was not our wish for this to happen.”
Speaking to the press, another worker revealed that the pupils selected a canoe designed for three people. But they boarded six of them without their knowledge. They then proceeded to row themselves which led to the tragic accident.
The family of the deceased children are still in shock as they demand answers to what exactly transpired. Anita Koech one of the deceased mother said the boy was her eldest son. “I am in pain because my child was working hard and now I have lost him. He was my first born.”
Ezekiel Machogu, the Education CS said on Sunday that he will work closely with the Interior Ministry get to the bottom of the matter.
“I am working closely with my counterpart in the Ministry of Interior and National Administration, Prof. Kithure Kindiki, to ensure thorough and conclusive investigations are conducted into the unfortunate incident.”
He also extended a message of condolences to the families of the deceased urging teachers and parents to be cautious during this examination period.
