Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) has listed five counties that will experience KPLC Blackout on Saturday to ensure that the company corrects the faults in the regions.
According to the statement released, the areas affected will go without power for the better part of Saturday. Approximately from 8 AM to 5PM in the evening.. Customers are advised to prepare accordingly.
NAIROBI REGION: NAIROBI COUNTY:- Vicken
Parts of Eastern Bypass, RLC Reddamac Leather Centre, Southern Engineering, Southern Beer Factory, Stone Cutters Quarry, Welkim Coffee Factory, Gulf Energy Petrol Station, Shell Petrol station, Infinity Industrial Park, Vicken 3D industrial park and other adjacent customers.

WESTERN REGION: PARTS OF VIHIGA COUNTY.
Luanda town and Ebuyangu.
Luanda Market, Essaba, Mukhalakhala, Ebwiranyi, Ebukolo, Epali, Ebulondi, Ebuyangu, Radio Anyole, Radio Samaritan, Rhodys, Ikonje, Ebukanga, Emmabwi, Asikote, Luanda KCB, Total Petrol station and other adjacent customers in the area.
SIAYA COUNTY: Siaya Town.
Whole of Siaya Town, Siaya Referral Hospital, Siaya Police Station, Siaya County Club, Candela Hotel, Siaya Distinction Hotel, Siaya Center, White Hotel Siaya and adjacent customers around the areas mentioned.
SOUTH NYANZA REGION: KISII COUNTY.
Egesa and Jokevilla areas.
Jokevilla, Daraja mbili secondary school, Kiabinge, Egesa, St Jude and adjacent customers.
HOMABAY COUNTY: Homabay Town.
Homabay Town, Asumbi, Homa Hills, Nyangweso, Ogande, Imbo, Olare, Rangwe, Part of Rodi Kompany and other adjacent customers.

The above regions will not be having electricity for the better part of the day.. Due to KPLC Power Blackout on Saturday, Customers are advised to prepare accordingly and seek alternative power means.
This comes after Energy minister announced plans to introduce a system that will see the end of power blackouts in thr country. The cabinet also approved Ksh. 66B for the actualization of mechanisms to stop power blackouts.
