Another Embakasi fire tragedy has struck days after a similar one struck that left tens of people homesless and at least six dead.
According to reports, a fire incident that happened overnight on Wednesday 7th has left over 63 people in Soweto, Embakasi East homeless after fire raged down their buildings.
At the time of publishing this article, the cause of the fire was yet to be established as leaders start making their way to help the victims this morning.

Confirming the incident, Embakasi Member of Parliament Babu Owino took to his X account formerly Twitter to express his shock over the incident and asking kenyans to pray for his constituency.
“Another sad day in Soweto ward,Embakasi East as 63 Residents are left homeless after fire burned down their Houses and other valuables last night.Please Pray for Embakasi East.”
This comes days after a similar incident happened in the same constituency in Mradi area where a gas explosion occured killing at least six people and leaving scores homeless.
According to Government Spokesman Isaac Mwaura stated that the explosion was led by an explosion of a lorry with unknown registration number that was loaded with gas.
“A flying gas cylinder hit Oriental Godown, burning down the said godown which deals with garments and textiles. Consequently, the inferno further damaged several vehicles and commercial properties, including many small and medium-sized businesses. Sadly, residential houses in the neighbourhood also caught fire, with a good number of residents still inside as it was late at night.”
