Drama was witnessed at the Bomas of Kenya after youths mobilized to attend United Democratic Alliance (UDA) meeting started chanting Anti-Ruto songs and slogans to express their displeasure.
In videos that have since gone viral, youths who are said to be University Students that were sought to attend the UDA meeting turned rogue and started singing and chanting songs against President Ruto.
Loud chants started when Dennis Itumbi took to the stage trying to justify the Adani Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) takeover deal that has raised controversies in recent months.

The event that was being launched to give university students a platform to engage the government directly turned dramatic when the students started singing “yote yawezekana bila Ruto”, an Anti-Ruto slogan.
“Our neighbors in Rwanda are building a brand new airport to house 7 million passengers, but you guys here are saying don’t do it, don’t expand that airport…It’s okay, it’s okay,” Itumbi said as he was cut short by chants and loud noises from the crowd.
The over 2,000 University students that had been mobilized from different parts of the country couldn’t take none of it as they started singing loudly. However, they chants ceased as Itumbi drove his point home, through an unsatisfied crowd.
Despite Adani Group pledging a Sh238 billion investment to upgrade and expand the airport, several kenyans and Airport Workers have expressed their displeasure over the deal and have called for its dismissal.
