Drama was witnessed in Embu town after a popular Member of Parliament (MP) was chased away by angry residents after he tried to storm Morara Kebaso’s meeting in the town.
According to reports, Mbeere North MP Geoffrey Ruku arrived at Embu Town where Morara Kebaso’s meeting was going on demanding an audience. However the rowdy youths could not hear any of it.
Morara Kebaso, who was addressing his supporters when the MP appeared, could be heard reminding Embu residents that Ruku was the MP who tabled the controversial Maandamano Bill.

“In Mbeere North had you not been promised a KMTC in Ishiara?” Kebaso quipped, “Let me ask you, is there anything Geoffrey Ruku can tell us? He is the one who sponsored the Maandamano bill.”
This fueled the angry crowd even more and they forced the MP out of the venue without giving him an opportunity to say anything with cheers and loud chants against him as they praised Morara.
The drama came after Morara Kebaso had visited the Embu Governor’s residence where he claimed Ksh49 million had been budgeted for the project with Ksh27 million already been paid to the contractor.
However, the project appeared stalled judging by the overgrown grass around the building and the unfinished shell standing with no active construction ongoing.
