DP Gachagua has hit back at former President Uhuru Kenyatta over his looking at rear view mirror days after extending an olive branch to the foemer head of state.
According to DP Gachagua, Ruto should avoid listening to the former President after he claimed and criticised President Ruto for focusing on the past instead of finding solutions to the problems faced by Kenyans.
“I heard somebody saying that you should not look at the rear mirror. I want to encourage you to keep looking at the rearview mirror because the inventor of the motor vehicle was not mad by putting the rearview mirror.”
The DP urged Ruto to ensure that no Kenyan is left behind by looking back at his policies.
“In your leadership your Excellency you have made it clear that no Kenyan should be left behind. So, you have to continuously continue looking at the rear mirror to ensure all Kenyans are on board and are not left behind.”
This comes after Former President on Saturday said that leaders should look forward and forget the past and focus on the future to find solutions to kenyans’ challenges and ensure service delivery.
If you are a leader, one who is given the steering wheel, if you are a worthy leader who is at the steering wheel you look forward, not every time looking at the rearview mirror to see where you are coming from. You look forward. If you are a person who drives while looking at the rearview mirror, you will drive the car into a ditch
Shockingly, this comes after DP extended an arm to Uhuru Kenyatta telling him that elections are over and they should forget the past because elections are over.
“I was looking forward to meeting my friend and former boss President Uhuru Kenyatta. I wanted to come and greet him because I had not seen him for a while and tell him it was well. He is our son, we had some little disagreements but it’s over.”
